Decisions, decisions. Not just one, but two possible events to attend tonight (and that’s assuming I’m not the one that has to take M. to her practice.)
First up, a teen homeschooling panel:
Montgomery Home Learning Network Support Group Meeting: Teen Panel
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Wheaton Library
11701 Georgia Ave
Wheaton, MD 20902
Come listen to and ask questions of a panel of homeschool teens. All homeschoolers and prospective homeschoolers are welcome to attend the meetings. No advance registration is required.
Then there’s a PTSA meeting featuring Washington Post education columnist Jay Mathews:
Silver Spring International Middle School
7:15 pm – 8:00 pm
313 Wayne Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910
Hear Jay Matthews of the Washington Post speak on “Middle Years Programme: How to Save the American Middle School.” Mr. Matthews recently published the book WORK HARD. BE NICE. and also wrote about Silver Spring International in his April 2007 feature about the DC region’s most successful middle schools.
I’ll let you know which one I chose. Some other important meetings coming up in the next week too….
