I can attest to the fact that knitting helps focus your mind and energy. I was taught to crochet and sew in an effort to teach me to sit still when I was younger. I know it helped in that effort,(although to this day I carry a project around with me constantly.) I have taught all my children (4) to knit. It is an awesome thing.
